Regarding getting more confident at public speaking, I can recommend Toastmasters. I joined at the start of the year and it's been very helpfull. Very American and structured and for the first three visits or so I thought I had made a mistake but I stuck with it. Now, the reason for the discipline on timekeeping and the constant evaluations etc can be seen as really beneficial. It's £36 for six months membership and worth a punt. Hi
